I would suggest that you test a set out first instead of jumping in with both feet as the bowls are very expensive and very light. You may find that they are quite difficult to play with.

You may also find it quite difficult to find a set to test as they are made to order so i'm guessing there are not that many sets in existance.

All i know is that they are much lighter than normal bools

I played in a crown green bowls competition this morning and saw somebody playing with a clear, see through set of woods; although it doesn't seem right referring to them as woods as they looked more like glass!

Found the website that has these, 295 quid a set though.

Still they look good, wonder how they would stand up to a few drives though, you would think they might chip a bit.

Still to buy my FIRST set of bowls and sssssooooooo want the clear ones.


Been playing with Tyrolites size 5 1/8 since i began bowling, and just started to feel them a tad big now. So whilst helping clear our our bowls house i found a set of Tyrolites size 4 15/16 and going to try them tomorrow at our opening day.

And at times i wonder why Paisley folk get tagged with being miserable.
